When will it get warmer outside?! It has been freezing here in Maryland and I am so not excited for classes to start back up since that means Captain and I will have to be walking everywhere in the cold *cue internal screaming*. Today I’m sharing the best Winter Dog Products that will keep your pup warm and entertained until Spring!
I never thought that I would be the dog mom who got Barkbox, but my friend got it for me as a gift one month as Captain’s welcome home present from training and I’m hooked! It’s really exciting to get new toys and treats every month that I don’t have to worry about picking out. It makes the winter just a bit more fun.
For Christmas, Captain got a brand new collar and I needed a new ID tag since the other rubbed off. I found this one that clips to their collar, so it will not jingle or make any noise! Just make sure to measure the width of your collar so it can fit on.
I have been wanting to buy this forever for Captain. I finally did since it was only $10 on Amazon and it came today! I take the treats from his Barkbox and hide them on the treat board. It’s the perfect mind challenge and keeps him occupied inside.
This was another one of our Christmas gifts. It is SO fun and actually works so well for a ball-driven dog like Captain. Follow us on Instagram to see how well it works; I can almost always get him to look at the camera.
I read about this on a Buzzfeed post and immediately ordered it. It’s a lotion that you can put on your dogs paws and nose to help them through the winter. It immediately rubs in so it’s not messy. I apply the lotion to a paper towel and then use the paper towel to apply it to his paws. It’s 99.7% natural so if your dog is one to lick it off, you won’t have to worry about him getting sick from it.
This is similar to a Kong, but I love it so much more. It has two sides; one for a treat insert and one for just regular treats. The company sells treat inserts specifically for the bento ball. I absolutely hate stuffing the Kong for Captain and I have found that this is so much easier. The other side is perfect for small treats. I take the treats from my Barkbox and stuff them in this side and it’s a challenge for Captain so it keeps him occupied while I’m working! Totally recommend this product over the Kong.
Our friends have this for their dogs and it’s a lifesaver. Since the sun sets so early, they put these on when the dogs are playing outside in the park. It helps them keep track of it. It’s also great for if you take your dog on walks at night so other cars or pedestrians can see them.
While the coat I bought Captain sold out, this one is super similar! It’s been SO cold so I almost always put his coat on to keep him warm. Even though dogs have fur, they can still get cold easily! This one is stylish and functional and will keep your pup warm.
Booties are a necessity for service dogs or any dogs that go outside in the winter. These boots protect your dogs pads/feet from the snow and the salt. I have been using them regularly when Captain has been working in stores that are all concrete so that he doesn’t slip around. While some people prefer the dog socks, I think the shoes are better since they will hold up well.
If you buy any of these products, please consider purchasing through these affiliate links! I get a small commission for recommending products, and it lets me buy more treats for Captain! 🙂
Okay, you had me at that adorable dog coat! Our precious pup Diesel Dog needs a new coat and I absolutely love the one you have for your adorable pooch. I’m also interested in the Bark Box – that looks like so much fun! Diesel Dog would love to receive a box like that!
The selfie ball is hysterical! I need it because my dog hates photos!! And the Trixie board is ideal for my dog who has trouble walking around these days. She could play in one spot! Thanks for sharing!
I would totally spoil my pup with all of these items! I like the idea of the ID collar so the tags don’t jingle!
My doxines need those sweaters! It’s been so cold here!
